Jimi Nix agrees with me and has written the track he presents to us today, titled Twisted Emotion.
This track draws inspiration from the classic rock of the 80s, so I am confident it will win over many listeners. The lyrics challenge the societal notion that following one's heart always leads to the best decisions—and they do so with full force, backed by a powerful melody that isn't afraid to bare its teeth when necessary. It captivates, above all, through the vibe it conveys: a blend of retro flair and the "aggression" of a rock style that occasionally veers into hard rock territory, serving to make its message all the more clear and direct. Personally, I thoroughly enjoy songs like this—tracks that transport us back in time through their riffs, drum fills, and vibrant instrumentation. That said, my absolute favorite moment in this song occurs at the 3:03 mark, where we get to hear Jimi Nix’s voice completely unfiltered—no backing music, just his vocals.
